A letter from our founder

Kelly Mondora

Growing up, the women in my family were my heroes, shaping me with their unique strengths. My grandmother, a feisty redhead, loved fiercely. My Aunt Diane, a social butterfly, filled our weekends with fun. My mother, with a heart of gold, loves unconditionally. Each faced breast cancer, undergoing chemo or radiation and either a lumpectomy or mastectomy, and shared an enduring sense of anxiety that shook our family.

I'm proud to say they all survived, though my grandmother has since passed. Their strength underscores the importance of early detection and support. With my family history, I think about my own risk, which fuels my passion for supporting others and emphasizing early detection.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month honors survivors, supports fighters, and remembers those lost. It’s a time to educate, raise awareness, and advocate for research. I hope to inspire others to prioritize their health by sharing my family's story.

Thank you for supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Together, we can make a difference and bring hope to countless individuals and families.
